CMP launches publication dedicated to global sourcing

Outsourcing and globalization have dramatically changed the modern business world, sweeping aside old business practices and establishing new ones. How can business professionals stay ahead of the game? CMP Media’s latest magazine, Global Services, hopes to offer some answers.

Premiering in February, Global Services aims to help professionals harness their global sourcing needs. The monthly magazine will cover business processing outsourcing, IT outsourcing, customer service and global business operations. Articles will include expert advice from services sourcing professionals, reports on technology and research-based studies.

According to editor in chief Rusty Weston, the magazine will target a wide range of business professionals who deal with sourcing responsibilities. “Our audience ranges from CIOs to business analysts,” he said. “We’re trying to be an essential guide to sourcing services. We want to be the authoritative publication in the industry.”

The first issue will feature the Global Services 100, a list of the top global service providers in business and technology. The magazine also has an online edition, which launched Jan. 3. It provides news and exclusive features, including a weekly newsletter, columns and a blog written by online executive editor Shyamanuja Das.
